As per a report & Indian TV news reports:

Surgeons in a New Delhi hospital were left stunned after they found 12 small gold bars inside the stomach of a local businessman. The 63-year-old man was taken to hospital in Delhi after complaining of vomiting but told surgeons he swallowed a bottle cap after arguing with his wife.

The 63-year-old had been admitted to hospital after vomiting and having difficulty going to the toilet. He said the reason for this was because he swallowed a bottle cap after arguing with his wife. But when surgeons opened him up they found 12 bars of gold weighing 400g (14oz). Doctors told the BBC that police and customs authorities swooped on the hospital ward and confiscated the loot.

The Indian government last year trebled the import duty on gold to control demand for the valuable metal. Sir Ganga Ram Hospital surgeon Dr CS Ramachandran was stunned at the find. He said: "This is the first time I have recovered gold from the stomach of a patient. "I remember having taken out a bladder stone weighing 1kg from a patient. "But finding gold in a patient's stomach was something unbelievable. "It was a tedious three-hour-long operation. "He is an old patient and we had to be careful. We found 12 gold bars lying in a stack in his stomach."

Two headed Snake spotted in Indian village

As per a report & Indian TV News Channels:

Two headed Snake has been spotted in Indian village. The mythical-looking creature, believed to be a checkered keelback, was spotted crawling past a house in Burdwan, West Bengal, but made a quick getaway just after it was snapped by local Apurba Ghosh. He revealed: "It happened at the blink of an eye. "The snake came across and was gliding along the surface. "I only managed to take shots with my phone. It was all gone within seconds." The slithery serpent, which is not venomous, then slinked away into the nearby bushes before it could be caught.

The village of Burdwan is home to a whole host of snakes – including the mighty King Cobra. Ghosh added: "Snakes are sighted here very often because of close proximity to the forests. But they don't attack humans. "Some animals, mostly dogs and other pets, are bitten once in a while. "Some villagers also worship these snakes because they are regarded as highly auspicious in the Hindu religion." Two-headed snakes have been seen on several occasions over the years, although most only live for a few months.

Fed up with Computer, Emails Woman Commits Suicide

Subscribe to My Viuz Subscribe to My Viuz in MY YAHOO! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY GOOGLE! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY MSN! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY AOL! Subscribe to My Viuz in Rojo!
As per a report:

Switzerland: We only know her as Anne, the 89-year-old woman who took her own life rather than live in digital-barmy. She travelled to the Dignitas suicide clinic in Switzerland, protesting at modern society’s command to “adapt or die". She chose death. Anne’s revulsion was extreme. You can often choose which bits of technology you want, and this is the age of the “silver surfer” who plays the internet like a Stradivarius. But she has a point. Increasingly, you’re an un-person if you can’t – or won’t – use a computer for your daily needs. Employers, government officials, town hall wallahs, the NHS, BBC, politicians and Uncle Tom Cobbleigh and all expect you to be online.

All day. Every day. Get online, or go without. Get out of line with a DWP jobsworth and you’re sanctioned, like a million others. No more benefits. This enforcement regime is wrong. Nobody should be bullied into laptop labour, just because it’s more convenient for the bosses or officialdom. Young ’uns don’t mind, because it’s how they’ve been brought up. They’re hooked. Their brains are hyped up with overkill communication. There are even cases of babies addicted to iPads. And now computer capitalists are trying to invent a digital “soul”, a computerised version of yourself that will talk to people after you’ve died. 30,000 people have signed up, even though the project is 18 months from reality.

The mind boggles. There is a generation (I belong to it, and so might you) that didn’t grow up with computers. We came to this game late. And while appreciating the good side of technology, we have no wish to be dominated by it. The myriad demands of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all the other “social media” gizmos reduce people to androids, with the average Brit checking for emails on their mobile phone more than 100 times a day. That’s precisely the charge made by retired art teacher Anne before she took a fatal overdose of barbiturates last month. “We are becoming robots,” were among her last words. “They say adapt or die. I feel I can’t adapt because the new age is not an age I grew up to understand.” What a moving epitaph.

Dog testifies in murder case in France

Subscribe to My Viuz Subscribe to My Viuz in MY YAHOO! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY GOOGLE! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY MSN! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY AOL! Subscribe to My Viuz in Rojo!
As per a report:

A dog was recently interrogated in French court in an effort to identify the man believed to have murdered the pooch’s owner. As barking mad as it may sound, dogs being drafted in as key witnesses, is something of a recent trend in French court cases. No one could accuse a judge in the French city of Tours of not being willing to think outside the box in order to solve a murder. During a recent preliminary hearing the judge called a nine-year-old Labrador named Tango to the witness stand in an attempt to confirm the allegations against his master’s presumed killer, RTL radio reported.

The judge ordered the suspect to threaten the canine with a bat, with the idea being that Tango’s reactions could be used to identify or rule out the suspect. And in a nod to the scientific method of keeping tests fair, a second dog named Norman, of the same age and breed as Tango, was brought in to serve as the 'control group'. Perhaps not surprisingly the suspect’s lawyer, Gregoire Lafarge, said the whole thing was totally absurd. “So if Tango lifted his right paw, moved his mouth or his tail, is he recognizing my client or not?’ Lafarge told RTL. “I find it very troubling for the French legal system. If a judge ignores the demands of reason and surrounds himself with experts who are unreasonable, well the system becomes very dangerous.”
The experiment ended up being a total failure and Tango and Norman were allowed to return to their dogs’ lives. As absurd as it all sounds this is not a French court's first foray into canine testimony. Only last month a vet was asked by a court in Paris to give his expert analysis of a dalmatian’s physical reactions, when the dog shown the faces of two murder suspects. Based on the dog's reactions the vet told the court it was likely the pair were responsible for the murder of the pooch’s owner.

A veterinary behaviorist, writing for the French magazine Nouvel Observateur, slammed the exercise as totally illegitimate. “This expertise plays on popular beliefs, but has no scientific foundation,” Jacques Cordel wrote. “However, ethology (the study of animal behaviour) is real science, it’s not a joke.” Perhaps both judges were moved to allow canine witnesses after one of their colleagues did so during a 2008 investigation into a suspicious death.

A pooch named "Scooby" was called into a court and “barked furiously” when shown a possible suspect, British paper The Telegraph reported. Back then the Paris court’s spokesman proudly confirmed it was the first time a dog appeared as a witness in criminal proceedings in France. He was “almost certain” it was the first time it had ever happened in the world.

As per a report:

In a weird & bizarre incident in Lahore in Pakistan, a nine-month-old Pakistani boy has been booked for attempted murder by attacking a police team here. Musa was produced in court where Additional District and Sessions Judge Rafaqat Ali granted bail to the minor till April 12 and directed the police to “record his statement.” Police arrested Musa and his father

Ahmed in an attempted murder case by attacking police team during raids in Muslim Town, Lahore and produced them in court. Counsel for the accused, Irfan Tarar, said the minor would again be produced in the court during the next hearing. “The bail of the minor will be confirmed once the police declare him innocent,” he said. Senior Superintendent of Police Rana Jabbar said there had been misunderstanding on the part of police to book the minor in the case.

He said he had suspended Sub-Inspector Kashif Ahmed for registering the case against the child. The child’s father said police had registered a fake case against him, his son and 25 others. “Our crime is that we had protested against non-availability of electricity in our locality,” he said and urged authorities concerned to quash the FIR.

As per a report:

A 55-year-old man has come to VADODARA all the way from Tamil Nadu to fight elections against Narendra Modi, with not an aim for winning but to set a record. Having no political ambition or hope to win election, Tamil Nadu-based tyre trading firm owner Dr K Padmarajan filed his nomination as an independent Lok Sabha candidate from Vadodara seat yesterday, just to set a world record of fighting maximum number of elections.

Padmarajan, who is a qualified homoeopathic doctor, has already fought and lost all the 158 elections in the past. "This is my 159th nomination. I call myself as the Election King of India. I have fought elections since last 25 years just to set a world record of fighting maximum number of elections. I will continue fighting elections till I accomplish my aim," he said. A native of Mettur in Tamil Nadu, Padmarajan got attracted towards Vadodara after BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi chose the seat. "I usually prefer to fight against popular leaders. Earlier, I fought against Atal Bihari Vajpayee, APJ Abdul Kalam, Pratibha Patil, Manmohan Singh, etc.

Winning or losing doesn't matter to me," he said, adding that he never even campaigns after filing nomination. Not just Lok Sabha or Assembly election, Padmarajan has contested as an independent, and eventually lost, in Rajya Sabha, Presidential and Vice-Presidential polls too. "I fought my first election in 1988. I don't have any political agenda, so I never do any canvassing. I am doing it only for records," he said while claiming to have spent more than Rs 12 lakhs till date on filing nominations.

Though Padmarajan never keeps a track of how many votes he secured, his popularity in his hometown fetched him more than 6,000 votes three years back. "I fought the Assembly election from Mettur seat in 2011 and secured 6,273 votes, the highest I have secured till date," he said.

"Each slogan, written on few grains, has been displayed on paperboard and decorated with coloured beads and other material in order to make it more attractive," she says.

Chhabra, who started writing on rice in 1984, says she plans to display the slogans at public places to the catch attention of voters. Till now, she has written 108 letters on a single grain of rice with a brush besides Gayatri and Namokar mantras.
